It takes a lot of discipline to put on fake eye lashes every day, which wouldn't apply to the average woman. In fact, eye doctors are now warning that using eyelash extensions may cause permanent lash damage. When repeated use of eyelash extensions are used, it can cause a condition called Traction Alopecia, which is when the hair falls out due to excessive tension placed on the hair shaft. The hair follicle slows its production down, and may even cease the production of hair. In addition the bonding agents and glues can be irritants to the eye through out the time they are worn. Just like any product that is applied to the skin, false eyelash adhesive is touching the skin around the eye. Manual lash curlers are great. They don't need power and can be used anywhere for a beautiful natural beauty look. The one disadvantage to manual curlers is over time you have to press down quite hard to get the lashes to curl upright.

(The photo to the left is not one I would recommend. I haven't had success with the curlers which look like this, as 3 have either quit or have had a short shelf life)

Heated lash curlers on the other hand take a matter of seconds for lashes to be curled. It is one easy way of making your eyes look pretty, while staying natural as well.
